Colorado WINS guest column in the Denver Post
Make sure to check out a guest column in the Denver Post by our own Scott Wasserman and Paul Boni about personnel reform.
In the column, Wasserman and Boni point out that a successful reform of Colorado's personnel system, which oversees about 32,000 workers, can't be top down only. Reform proposals require feedback from workers in order to ensure efficient, effective and responsive state services for Coloradans.
As Westerners, we believe government should be accountable, clean and effective. Cronyism and politics should not decide who gets a job with the state. Over the past century, Colorado voters have been careful to preserve the idea that the best candidate should get the job, and that a commitment to public service deserves fair compensation.
