Recently, the story about state employee and COWINS member Stephanie Maney ran in the Colorado Sun. Stephanie works for the Division of Housing in the Department of Local Affairs, and for many months during the pandemic, she was the only person assigned to answer the calls from Coloradans in desperate need of housing assistance.

Even though the state of Colorado finally brought in outside help, it was only after months of Stephanie dealing with the overwhelming stress of being the first point of contact for thousands of Coloradans whose housing was at risk - including those being evicted or without safe housing.
