Sharing Our Union Love on Valentine's Day!

February 14, 2022

This year for Valentine’s Day Colorado WINS members celebrated why they love their jobs, and how our union Colorado WINS makes their work even better.

Across the state members chimed in to share the love.

Maddie Grimm, from Denver, Colorado works in the Disease Control and Public Health Response Division helping Colorado’s response to COVID.

“What I love most about my work is the people I work with, who are so passionate about the public health work we do, and serving our state. They are the same reason I chose to become a steward- to ensure these brilliant people are protected, valued,  and can continue doing what they do for all Coloradans.” said Maddie Grimm.

Dilip Jaiswal is another care worker who works at Wheat Ridge Regional Center helping people with developmental disabilities live fulfilling lives at their residential facility.

“I joined Colorado WINS to forward the problems the staff get during their work so that it can be discussed and resolved with good solutions that can help the staff get rid of unwanted burdens and get focused on their regular work,” added Dilip Jaiswal.

Outside of the Metro Area, Terry Frost shared her union story.

“I love my union for the strength, unity and protection it offers workers like me. When we come together in the agency I work for, all of us can provide a better and safe environment for the individuals we serve!”

Terry works at Pueblo Regional Center taking care of Colorado’s most vulnerable citizens. Her freedom to do our job well means she has more time working with her clients and helping them take care of themselves.

These are just a few examples of how workers can do their jobs even better when we come together through our union. If you are not a member yet, join Colorado WINS today!
